In 2008, Eneco opened an office in Warwick to grow a portfolio of renewable energy projects in the UK. To support this growing portfolio in Scotland, Eneco opened in 2013 an additional office in Dochfour, near Inverness. From these a dedicated UK team oversees onshore wind projects in Scotland including Tullo and Twinshiels Wind Farms (with a combined generating capacity of 42MW) located in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire; Burn of Whilk Wind Farm (22.5MW) located west of Wick, Caithness; Moy Wind Farm (60MW) in The Highlands; and the Lochluichart Wind Farm (69MW) in The Highlands.
The business owns two solar farms in England - Sevor Farm Solar (10MW) based in Swindon provides an innovative direct supply to Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM), and Oaklands Solar Farm (5MW) located in Dorset.
In May 2016, Eneco UK moved into the retail market with partners Co-operative Energy to launch a new domestic tariff known as Highlands & Mearns Wind. The company continues to work with partners to offer sustainable energy solutions for both consumers and businesses.
